I have replaced many cord ends in my life. This unit is up there with the best of them.
Replaced my worn out Skilsaw cord with an uh-oh-too-fat 12/3AWG cord that I was saving for this purpose. The strain relief on the clam shell was a bit too small for my overly fat cord, but that was expected. I figured if this did not work, I would purchase a Hubble and use this for something else. I was pleased that this plug end worked perfectly.
There are two removable inserts in the clam shell that were easy to grind down with a Dremel tool so my fat cord would fit. The screw terminals are great and received the 12 gauge stranded wires nicely.
Installation was a piece of cake and this is a quality unit so I will definitely purchase again.

The wires mount with clamps instead of screws. You don't have to wrap the wire around screws hoping it makes good contact. This feature makes it so much easier to use and ensures the entire wire makes complete contact. Outer case is a solid hefty plastic and tightens the finished product into a compact footprint. I got this one because I needed the plugs on two re-attached cords to fit into two side-by-side plugs on a power strip so they could not be huge like some similar products. This item worked like charm. Recommend it strongly!

I replaced a damaged cord on the pump powering my 3 tier fountain, which is extremely heavy. This plug is large and sturdy and wiring it was easy. Time will tell if it's waterproof; I live in Florida and the fountain is in the atrium, which is open to the sky and exposed to rain. So far, so good.
