This September I read about the Chinese festival of the moon and decided to order some mooncakes. I believe I placed the order at the end of September or the beginning of October but it finally arrived in late November. Is this the sellers fault? No, of course not. World shipping is very backed up, so if you order, be patient. The mooncakes are individually wrapped in a carboard box which arrived from halfway around the world in surprisingly excellent condition. I attribute the good shape it came to me in, because of the careful packaging job the seller did. The box was a little dented but not one single mooncake was damaged. They are fresh and delicious. I have never tasted anything like this before and I am definitely going to order these again next year. They are sweet but not sickly sweet, they are very nice. Some of the flavors were quite familiar and some I had never tried before but all lovely. Also there's plenty to share with friends but make sure you try one of each yourself. A1 Seller 5 stars.
Texture like a fignewton cookies

The product arrived as described and well packaged. It arrived on time. The texture is like fignewton cookies. Soft crumble cookie/type pastry on the outside and fruit filing in the inside. However, the filling in the inside is a bit harder than a fignewton. Not sure if is supposed to be like tat or is old. The taste of the fruit feeling was good but not extremely distinguishable. Is it worth the price? It was to me, because it was a treat to have a pastry from so far away in so short amount of time. I think it was worth it. Would I buy again? Not sure. It was tasty, but not enough to buy again... may try other brands.
This was a gift to someone

I ordered these for my daughter to try. She's been obsessed with "Over the Moon" on Netflix and I looked everywhere to find Mooncakes that are "out of season". I ordered these and my daughter, husband and I are OBSESSED! My favorite flavors are the "Honey Peach", "Mung Bean", and although it's very different from what I'm used to, I love the "Five Kernels".
I have no idea what's in the Five Kernels and every Google search I've found shows ingredients very different from what I ate. But it still tastes very good.
They're a lot smaller than I realized. They look more like cookies (about the size of an Oreo) instead of cakes. But they're still very cake-like and great to snack on when you're watching "Over the Moon" for the millionth time.

This was my first time having mooncakes so I didn't know what to expect, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised.
The package had production and expiration date and nutrition facts in the back. There were the right amount of items and they all seemed fresh.
I have read comments that suggested that some of the mooncakes were stale, I didn't have that experience personally, but I will say that the fruity flavors tend to have a nice moist texture since fruit contains a lot of moisture naturally, while the nuts and bean flavors tend to be drier and flakier since they naturally hold less moisture, so keep that in mind.
I would also suggest conducting a sniff test if you have any nut allergies and such (or are just afraid of getting a bad product) as I have encountered a couple of cakes that were mislabeled.
The flavors "Five Kernel" and "Sesame" seem to be relatively the same just different nut ingredients. I'm not sure what nut is in the sesame flavor but the five kernels taste like sesame filling but with five different types of seeds mixed in.
Lastly, I tried them cool and warmed in the microwave for a few seconds, and I kinda preferred them warmed ngl. I'd recommend consuming the bean/nut flavors with a nice cup of hot tea and the fruit ones as you see fit. Overall great product! 8.5/10 would recommend! (Deductions for mislabeling issue I encountered which could adversely affect someone with an allergy.)
