Quality of sound was pretty good, could use a bit more base in the tuning, but not bad for the size of speakers. Materials seem sufficient to prevent breakage during normal wear and tear, but proof of that will come with time.

I do a lot of night time bass fishing in the heat of the summer. It can get pretty quiet out on the water that late. I was using a portable Bluetooth speaker for music as I fished but the battery normally wouldn't last a full night. I bought these so they'd be hooked up to my boat's battery and be able to listen to music all night. After installing, I noticed one speaker was crackling and sounded distorted. I emailed Herdio and the same day I received an email back asking for my order information from Amazon. After sending it to them they emailed to inform me a new speaker would be in the mail. A week later I had a package at my door and they sent me an entire new package with 2 brand new speakers. I hooked them both up and they work great! Very good product for a great price and the customer service is second to none.

I was suspicious of how good these would sound. I built a custom center console for my 1951 Chevy. I didn't want a sound system. The car has no radio to begin with. Just wanted something to listen to music while cruising around. Also, so I could actually hear my GPS.
