Light where you need it

We have found that we needed more than the first three we bought them for under the kitchen sink and in the linen closet and what's nice is that you can put them on the side of the wall instead of overhead, my shelves in my linen closet are all even and overhead lighting didn't work. I was not able to see what was on or in the back of the shelves by putting this on the wall next to the shelves I'm able to see to the back where I store items needed in addition to bedding and towels. I also use one under my sinks in the kitchen and the vanity and in a storage closet also on the walls these are amazing and they can be recharged with a USB plug instead of having to plug into an outlet.
motion detection works.... sometimes. install adhesive works... sometimes.

honestly, this product is a great value for what it is, but that doesn't make it a great product overall.
good:
- color temp and brightness are exactly what i'd expect.
- they're small, the magnetic attachment is nifty (in theory, more later)
- usb-c rechargability is way better than buying replacement batteries
bad:
- the motion sensors work when i expect them to maybe 40% of the time. sometimes i wave a hand right in front of them with no response, other times i'm walking across the room (~9-13' away and they sense this motion). sometimes one turns on and the other doesn't, but it's not consistent which one works
- the supplied mounting hardware is minimal and in theory great. unfortunately the double sided tape only worked on one so I had to use an adhesive for other metal strip, took some fussing and makes the install more permanent than i was hoping
- when i reached out to the seller for troubleshooting support they literally just told me to return to amazon directly, which tells you something about their level of ownership. i should note that their response was prompt and courteous however.
overall: i love the product in theory, and the designers have made some thoughtful decisions. unfortunately you get what you pay for and it is cheap in the truest sense of the word. if you don't mind a cheap solution, you maybe pleasantly surprised.

I got these because when I go into the kitchen in the middle of the night to get a glass of water, turning on the overhead lights destroys your night vision. So I got some motion detecting nightlights.
They install easily. Double-sided sticky tape is provided. Slap the tape on the magnet strip and stick it to the underside of the kitchen cabinet.
The motion detection is great. I walk into a dark kitchen at night and the lights come on when I'm about 6 feet away. Cool.
Now the frustrating part. They also come on in broad daylight, and when the kitchen lights are already on. Apparently the whole "only come on when its dark" thing is a lie. Would be nice if you could adjust the light sensor or something.

These light strips are chargeable and don't take batteries. Perfect. I had a light strip under my counter in a kind of dark spot and it took 6 batteries and you could not tell if the light was on or off most of the time. Needless to say the batteries drained quickly. Not good. This light is pretty bright and I have used it for a couple of days now. The best feature is that after 20 seconds and no motion it turns itself off. I love it. I might install another one under the same cabinets. I already have under cabinet lighting, but it still has some dark spots so this takes care of that problem and no wires required. Yeah!

This is my second purchase. The first purchase the magnet strips are a long piece of metal you stick it to. This new one has been updated with 2 pieces that it attaches too. So much nicer. I now want to replace them. Haha
Don't mind the mess, but you can see how much light it gives my coat closet. You literally can't see what to grab, but it's so bright and nice now. It goes on when it sees motion.
The back of the pantry also is dark, and now we have bright light in the back. This seriously has made a huge difference. Even the kids commented about it.
