I had problems getting the unit to work properly. In hindsight, I believe it was 95% my fault for not following instructions properly.
I contacted the company through their website, I think it was a person in their sales area. They put me in contact with an engineer, who then took me through the set-up step by step through several rounds of emails. In the end, this little box works VERY well, and I am very happy with it.
There was a step that the box didn't act exactly as described in the instructions (their logo would not display), but this is inconsequential to the unit operating. Very satisfied with the device, now I can get HD DVD to play on both TVs in out vintage motorhome using the Coax cables it has..

Setup was amazingly simple. After a few issues using the higher channels, I utilized an available channel in the lower numbers. I believe the higher channel number was missed because my "smart" TV tuner cuts off after reaching the top of the standard broadcasting range for my area.

Recording the combined signal is acceptable, but we are now considering a seperate unit for each camera. This will add a lot more clarity and flexibility, but of course, will quickly become rather expensive.

FEEDING COAX TV SIGNAL TO ALL TVS IN HOME

I purchased this modulator so I could add a "channel" for my CCTV cameras to my OTA antenna feed. I'm using a Raspberry Pi to display a web page from the DVR in full-screen kiosk mode. It worked great for a TV connected to the combined feed, but I could not get my HD Homerun to display the channel. It would detect the channel, but would give an error when trying to display it in the app. After reaching out to Silicondust support, I learned that it requires both audio AND video on a channel in order to display a channel. It turns out that I had the audio muted on the Rpi. Once I set the volume to a non-zero value on the source, it worked perfectly. I just wanted anyone else who might have a similar need to be aware of this, and not think that it's a problem with the Satlink. Love this thing!

I'm using this to mirror a Macbook screen onto channel 2 on every TV in my house so I can continuously stream our home movies to all of our TVs. This modulator has worked great, except that very occasionally, I will turn on the TV to see that it is just outputting the SatLink logo on a white screen instead of the signal from the Macbook, even though the HDMI cable is still plugged in. Turning the Satlink off and on again has fixed it each time, so it's not a problem with the HDMI connection. Other than that, 2 thumbs up.
