I was skeptical of all the night vision, you just never know and I was always unsure what to believe. I have purchased many kinds and brands, but when I bought these and actually got to spend some time these babies they are freakin awesome.

5 stars since performs as specified. Gets good pics and even has an image stabilizer at lower magnifications, which is critical for looking at night sky, etc. Onky complaint is the wireless function and sending pics over the internet and the app that it connects to are clunky"¦but the microSD comes in handy for that.

Let me start with that terrible feeling I get on the rare occasion that I must somehow repackage to a reasonable degree, a purchase that's going back. But, I had been wanting this Monocular/Scope for quite some time so I took it around the block a few extra laps.
What I didn't like:
a) Adjusting the beam on the IR is almost impossible without interfering with your view of a subject.
b) There is a daytime filter that must be removed (and kept up with) while using the unit at night.
c) With a little more thought and a couple of extra dollars, this very nice optic could have been shipped with a more acceptable case...perhaps one in which the user had a choice of vertical or horizontal orientation and storage for included accessories and hardware. There is, however, a small, single, seemingly dedicated zippered pocket for the filter mentioned above.
d) This unit looks and feels just a little strange while being used as a traditional monocular.
Now the good news!
This is a fantastic unit. Exceptionally strong IR for better than average (apples to apples) night vision performance. Dual focusing means you can actually see what you're trying to see. This is in stark contrast to another day/night monocular that I have which took the world by storm a couple of years back with...wait for it...FULL-COLOR night capabilities. I knew I should have gone with this one but fell for the ad campaign. The dealmaker for me is the bracket that supports the scope on the rifle can be left firmly attached to the rifle with the scope now removed and in monocular form. Setting and saving reticle type, color and placement are very straightforward.
Lastly, do yourself a favor and don't even install the included batteries. Use a rechargeable power brick and the included USB cord. You will start to chuckle on the second week (possibly third) of a reliable and convenient power source.

I literally can't say enough good things about this product!

Night vision capabilities are incredible. I'm using it for watching/filming the night sky"¦satellites and other anomalous lights.

If you can afford it, buy it, and stop looking at other options.

Build quality is superb"¦this is a serious piece of hardware, not some plasticky, cheap feeling thing.

I highly recommend buying an external rechargeable battery brick to power it.

Once again, an outstanding product in all ways!
