Suprisingly windproof

I liked these enough to keep them. The gaiters are extremely soft - like buttery. That is also a bit of a fault, though, as this makes them difficult to keep up on your face. Maybe I'm just that tiny, but the gaiter doesn't stay up unless I'm wearing a good hat or something to stretch it over and take up the slack.
The most surprising thing is the windproof factor. These feel too thin, soft, buttery, and pliable to believe they will keep the wind off. I wore one on the four-wheeler one day and couldn't believe it. I was riding behind my husband and felt no wind at all. To the point I thought it was solely due to sitting behind him, so I stuck my head out and still felt nothing. I pulled down the gaiter to make sure I was in a position where I COULD feel the wind, and sure enough, I felt that cold, icy blast in my face. I pulled the gaiter back up, and it immediately ceased. So these are really great for keeping the wind off, which is a major factor in keeping warm.
To that end, I am keeping and enjoying them. My main complaint is that they don't stay up without help. Oh well.
