Purchased a new place and one set of vertical blinds had the wand missing. The original was significantly sturdier. It was more attractive. It was longer. But this does the job for the time being. I think if it was longer, it would bend a lot while sliding the blinds open and closed.

This wand is a sturdy plastic rod that matches those on my 30 year old blinds pretty well. I did have to modify it so that the hook on the end would fit into the eye-hook that my blinds have. It was too thick to fit. I shaved a little off, and it fit in, and will likely last a long time.
