Not Real Damascus, But Still Pretty
Kryss✓ Verified Purchase•August 7, 2023
I've had this knife for a good month now and feel like it's time for a review. As always, if anything changes this review will be updated.
First off, this is not real Damascus steel. I figured as much before I bought the knife. Trust me, it's very obviously not real.
The blade looks great with the Damascus design and the blade itself is sturdy. I bought the green one and it does look very similar to the picture.
The blade was extremely dull upon arrival, but it's not hard to sharpen. The rope cutting edge is also dull and I haven't been able to sharpen that part.
I do like the gadgets, but the one that just doesn't seem to work well is the flashlight.
The flashlight is brighter than I expected. It's magnetic and that's how it stays in place, but the magnet isn't very strong and twice now that I've pulled my knife out of my pocket the flashlight has gotten dislocated and fallen to the floor.
However, the rest of the gadgets are secure, even the flint, and I've been able to use everything in the knife, except for the flint. I'll probably try that out during the summer months. (If it doesn't work I'll update it but I don't expect any issues.)
The case was very cheap and a bit disappointing. I threw it away, something I don't usually do. I collect knives and when not in use they end up in their case for protection. This knife is better protected in my pocket than the case it came in.
The cloth belt-case is also cheaply made. It looks like it will easily break. I haven't used it and doubt I ever will.
Overall, I do like the knife but I don't think I'd buy it again unless it was under $20. It's practical for everyday use.
If you want a super good knife that will last a lifetime, look elsewhere. This is not that knife. Not even close.
If you want a knife that looks very nice, has a few useful gadgets, and you don't mind buying a new knife in a couple years, this could be a great buy.
As a knife itself I'd give it 3/5.
As a knife AND accessories plus the (fake) Damascus design I'd give it 4/5.
(The best knife I ever bought was for $10 at the Frontier Village in Jamestown, ND. It was an American made stainless steel blade with a serrated edge and super sharp. It broke after two years of intense use.)

What they don't tell you is there is a set of batteries already loaded in the flashlight as well as a spare set. I almost broke it trying to stuff the spare set in.
Great utility knife with great style from Damascus steel

This knife is a great knife. My wife and I both have one and they are easy to work and operate, easy to carry and loaded with features. The Damascus steel blade is not only beautiful but sharp as well. I haven't used the fire starter in a survival situation but I did use it to show my daughter how it works and it was similar to any other fire starters I have used in the past. Don't bet your life on the light by any means and in fact mine came without batteries and my wife's came with two sets. I laughed the light off but when we were camping since it magnetically releases from the knife it was the perfect little light to use in the tent when everyone else was sleeping and I needed to find something. The glass breaker works great although the ergonomics of the whole thing could be better but that would take away from the ease of carrying.
Finally

I've been looking for a decent knife for a few years now. Every single one I found was either flimsy and dull or way too expensive for what I needed. This one is sharp, opens easy, the lock actually works, and it's small enough to carry with you but still large enough to actually be functional. The window breaker and seatbelt cutter are really just fluff, and they could probably bring the size of the handle down a bit if they'd drop those two items. If you're just looking for a decent knife to occassionally cut string, twine, rope, etc, then this is perfect. It feels solid and will never leave you feeling like you're holding a piece of junk, unless it's the end of the rope you just cut off. The magnetic LED is a nice bonus as it means you'll always have a flashlight on you.
Great Knife Just Rattles

The blade is great and solid it is the fire starter and the light that have a little wiggle/rattle to them which i am not really a fan of but it is what it is
