I finally had to breakdown and get a new key after so many lockouts and a mis-functioning key fob. You must have a working key fob for this product to work. At first I could not see a light when trying to program, but it is a small blue light mid fob between the buttons, not near the panic button as assumed by directions. Once you find this, you're all set to follow the instructions. Saved the hassle and extra $$ of the dealership! If you have an issue there are plenty of videos on YouTube! The quality is fine considering my other key fob is close to 10 years old, and I was able to use the replacement pad to update that fob so it will work correctly as the connection plates have fallen off my old fob. Good to go in about 10-15 minutes!

Item delivered on time. Packaged well, no apparent damage. Item instructions were very simple to follow, and the bonus YouTube video helped greatly as well. Basic knowledge of vehicles here. I also discovered that the local "key maker" utilized this same item to make keys for this vehicle. Dealer wanted way to much money for new keys. I did have both original keys, both were wore out. Plus I switched out my inserted cut keys so that was no issue at all. Fit my "˜10 commander and working great. Saved about 200 dollars this way. Thanks! Will definitely use your product in the future when dealing with fob, keys. I do wish that you could buy a two pack as it only comes with one fob. Great product!

I put off programming this key because the instructions seemed quite extensive. I had ordered an another key programmer that worked for everything except for my trunk. I finally took the time today to program it. I am so excited it works for all lock and unlock sliding doors on my van and the trunk. I am so happy!!!

I bought the key fob programmer for my 2014 Ram 1500 truck. It's successfully programmed the key that came with the programmer. It did take a few tries, so exactly follow the instructions. I called the technical support number regarding some other key fobs and then I was able to program two more keys from a different vendor on Amazon. (I had the other keys before I bought Tom's key programmer.) Easy to install IF you pay attention to details and follow the steps in the noted order. I was able to program the included fob without any issues in 3+ minutes. A big help was watching the manufacturer's video. It's very good.
My original fob would only start my car and the Panic button. The Lock, Unlock and Trunk buttons did not work. But with my newly programmed fob all buttons worked perfectly!
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The 8-key duplication "limitation" is NOT due to this product, at least in my case. The limitation lies with the vehicle's On Board Diagnostic computer (the OBD II connection). So, if the OBD determines that there have been a total of 8 fobs previously stored in its memory THE PROGRAMMING OF ANY NEW FOBs WILL FAIL!
The only recourse is to go to an automotive locksmith and have them delete the previous (non-working/lost?) fobs. Now the programming of new fobs will work! In theory, IF you follow this step, you can reuse this product as many times as you like.
DIRE WARNING
Do NOT have the locksmith delete ALL the fobs! ONLY the ones you no longer have/need. If you delete all fobs your vehicle will NEVER start again. Or at a minimum it will cost you a lot to have it start again. If that's even possible.
