i used this socket to acheive 200 plus ft pounds of torque on the 1.750 not on the reducer tailshaft on a velvet drive c72 marine transmission,worked like a charm.

Glad I bought this 1 1/2 socket because the flimsy Chinese piece of junk socket they say to buy is a joke. Its the bare metal socket with the little metal rod thru it for $7 at Lowes. I checked it out @ Lowes and there was an open box with that socket laying there as someone had returned because its a pos it had like almost 1/4 of an inch slop on the heater element nut. Its a joke.
This socket here is a thick sturdy beast that fits the Ecosmart heater elements perfectly. Glad I got this heavy duty socket because the 2 heater elements on my Eco 18 were super super tight it took all i had to break them loose. Cake for this beastly socket. Great buy!

I was thinking it was going to be a little deeper... Polaris RZR Pinion Nut

All in all it worked for what I needed. I was kind of surprised that it wasn't a little deeper. I am currently doing the Polaris RZR pinion nut dance. In the end I basically cut this socket in half because I needed both ends to be open. It was long enough in the end for me to be able to weld on a bar and still have the spline adapter holding the shaft. Since I had to end sacrificing a tool, I wanted it to be the cheapest. This socket looked pretty beefy for under $13. Once I save this rear differential from exploding, I'll never be using it again. Saved me $1600 in repairs though.
