This is my second stand. I tried to start with a cheaper one which was junk and useless. This stand is nice. It stays where you put it, it's easy to attach your projector and it's nice an sturdy.

Heavy, tall and sturdy! It's easy to get phone in and out of holder. The 3 joints make the adjustability good, except the lower two joints don't "˜hold' so adjustments are tricky. I purchased it to hold phone while video conferencing but have now been using it on the floor, next to couch so I don't ever have to hold my phone. This is better body alignment AND my cats doesn't knock it to the floor. I can't comment on price because I don't know how long it will last. ( The part that holds the phone broke on my last stand which inspired this purchase.) I'm ordering another one for my MIL (she tried mine and liked it by couch too.) so I hope it is quality.

It is perfect for using my phone as a webcam for MTG's spelltable, and more importantly, We have been using it for D&D. We have gone hybrid since 2 of our members recently had children and play virtually. It is perfect for us to still use physical terrain and the other members to tell us where to move their characters. For the ability for us to still host and not have to worry if an overhead shot is alright is worth every penny I paid for this product! Thank you so much!

I purchased this stand primarily to do larger scale document scanning. I managed to make it work and it does the job.
I think it's excellent for use with a smart phone and probably with mini-tablets.
Unfortunately, it is wanting when used to support a full sized iPad Pro.
The iPad fits in the fixture, barely, and it's a bit wobbly.
My biggest complaint is it does not handle the weight of the iPad when extended for horizontal pics/scans. The joints in the arm were only ably to support the weight after I tightened them using various tools and a bit of creativity. The base, while significantly heavy, was not heavy enough to counter the weight of the iPad in the fully extended horizontal position. I had to use sand bags to balance it out.
In summary, probably excellent for use with an iPhone or iPad mini. For use with an iPad Pro it's adequate at best and requires a bit of creativity to use.
