When my current garage rolling pneumatic stool started sinking by itself, I looked online to just REPLACE the inner pneumatic cylinder, which will eventually develop a leak, causing this problem. Guess what I found?? It's challenging to determine the exact SIZE you need, and in any case, it's darn expensive. In fact, it costs about the same as buying an entire NEW rolling pneumatic stool. So "¦ my choice was obvious. The new one arrived well packed and as described, and was very easy and obvious how to assemble (really, just placing cylinder INSIDE rolling base center, and then putting seat on top and kneel or sit on it). I'm not that impressed with the "pleather" (leather-like plastic cover) of seat, but "¦ you get what you pay for. Still, I'm happier with a brand new stool with new cylinder and wheels and seat and base than I was with a constantly sinking old stool. So now I have two "” if you come over, prepare to sit in the one which is always LOWER than mine! 😊

I did not need a whiz-bang fancy low shop seat. But I didn't want some piece of junk either. This is the compromise. No bells and whistles, just a basic stool to plonk your butt on while rolling around working on whatever. For me, shop work doing fabrication and assembly. So this was a best-value for the money buy and it fits the bill.
