Honestly bought this expecting it to not last past 2 years. Install was slightly annoying but overall not bad. My son liked the bed had no issues with it, the guard's definitely came in handy with him he likes to roll and move a lot so kept him from falling out. This bed held him and my wife in it on multiple occasions when she'd read or cuddle with him, I personally wouldn't try it as I'm much bigger. If you have a very tall or fast growing toddler maybe look for something bigger my son is at the point of basically almost maxing it out and he's smaller for his size. But for the price if you need something between crib and a twin or full size bed for a year or 3 this would probably be your best option and not break your pocket at the same time.
