Easy to use and pretty accurate. Great price for a fun activity on the weekends. If you're starting out, then I'd say you can't go wrong with your purchase for the price. Now the shovel/pick on the other hand isn't the best so you might want to get a pickaxe that's not going to keep folding up on you. But this review isn't about the shovel/pick so as far as I'm concerned, the detector is a good buy.

A requested gift for my 22 year old daughter. She's only used it a couple of times but says it works well, isn't heavy, is easy & fun to use. Her main complaint is only with the quality of the "treasures" she's found, which have consisted almost entirely of bottle caps. She gave 4 starts rather than 5 "not because there's anything wrong with it but because I haven't used it enough to know if it really deserves 5 stars". Worth noting, it was $110 when we got it, I notice it's now down to $73 with a 5% off coupon.

this was a gift for my father. has not very tech savvy but had little to no problem getting this set up and uses on the beach early in the mornings. first day out he had no problem finding some coins and lost treasure on the beach. would definitely recommend
