I was seriously considering the Marantz Cinema 50. I listen to music 50% and movies 50% on a 4K Sony tv. No gaming. I found the Marantz 6015 provided very similar capabilities for less than half the price. I paid $1,250 during Prime day. It's now $1,750 in most outlets and no longer available in many outlets. Marantz may have discontinued this. Very pleased with the amp/receiver. It powers 5.2.4 Klipsch speakers with Rp 8000f fronts and 504 center. I cannot comfortably increase sound level beyond 70%. System produces 110w per channel. The remote control is fine but not its strength nor is that a problem for me. It's more than adequate.

Concerning the 8k. This unit has one 8k hdmi interface. I feel that will future proof the unit for my needs for many years. If I were a gamer that might be different or if I chased the latest technology.

There are still some refurbished 6015s available in the marketplace. I personally believe the 6015 is a great option.

My trusted Yamaha from 1997 finally died. Remained all-analog for as long as I could. Was not looking forward to the modern-day nonsense with crappy solid state amps. Tried a couple of options in the $700 range (yamaha/denon) and was left disappointed. Returned them both. Never had a Marantz product before so I started looking at reviews for something that would work with a 5.1 surround system and 110 - 150watts of power for the mains.

To be fair it is more expensive (approx $2K as of this writing). Happy to say the SR6015 ticks all the boxes for a great 4K home theatre and music experience before ranging up into the boutique audiophile realm. I'd love for it to last another 20 years but with all the gimmicks of hdmi standards b.s., pointless 8K, yet-another-HDR format, etc, I'm sure it will be less than that.

The other good thing is if you have a high-end pair of speakers in the 4ohm range, fear not, this does a fantastic job. I'm only listening in stereo at the moment but the soundstage is immersive, the stereo image is excellent, with something like a centered vocal being locked dead center. Great dynamic range for orchestral. Plenty of power for rock/pop Good crossover options for your subwoofer. I had to play with the DSP options a bit and found that Pure Direct coming from my Oppo BD player is the best for music.

If you look at few reviews online most of them will sum it up as "we can't find anything wrong with this AVR for the price." I concur. Giving it a solid 5 stars.

Setup was easy. Did the Audyssey calibration. However, not really blown away with this receiver...yet. Sound quality is equal and/or slightly better than the previous Onkyo and Yamaha recivers I used in the past. It seems to be loaded with a bunch of sound formats but I have yet to unlock any of those features. Overall a very good receiver but not sure its worth the price.

I love it. The only thing is it`s my first modern receiver in more than ten years.There are many on screen menus that get you going on the basics, But you need to download the manual to find out some really neat things about it.Like how you can use the 7th channel to BI-Amp the front two speakers and how to set the receiver if you have less than 8 ohm speakers (pg.36) this feature is really cool,because it increases the wattage per channel (in you main fronts by almost half!) Also delivery was fast and packaging was not damaged in the least.I feel really good about my purchase. Chuck M.

Excellent Product At Half The Original Retail Price. Excellent for 7.2.4 Home Theater Setup/Configuration. There is a newer version of this product, Cinema 30. But that is way too expensive. This once has all the channels I need, almost the same product specification, why not spend only 50% of the original product cost? The seller was also prompt, shipped and delivered the product intime. All GOOD!!!
