A pretty heavy, but very nice looking screen. We do not make large fires, so it stays relatively warm but not hot, and the risk of thermal shattering is minimal. Do not put it too close to the fireplace, it may block air flow and make the fire too smoky, so leave about an inch of gap between the screen and the fireplace's face wall.

It is just what expected. I know it is more for decoration/draft purposes and I don't have any problem with that. There are 2 points I'd like to add for people who wonder this information. The distance between the legs is almost 36 inches. It also has a glare/reflection from TV& lights if bothers you. Just expectable, but the reflection is like a 2nd TV for sensitive eyes. 5 stars!
