The media could not be loaded. I have never made lace before, but when my BFF asked if I could make some lace for her handmade bohemian wedding dress I bought some thread, tiny needles, and braved YouTube (it's amazing how many Russian videos there are for making lace tape, and YouTube has auto-captioning and auto-translation...time consuming!) but I have learned how to make lace!
I quickly learned I needed a thread spindle to unravel the thread as I stitched, and then I found these rings. OMG they make all the difference!
I had to resize mine and haven't (yet? Knock on wood?!) had any trouble. Be sure you don't try to "unfold" the ring right in the middle at the weakest spot, rather I gently pulled the ring open closer to the peacock head and on the tail. (I'm pretty sure I also just got lucky not to get such a brittle ring, but it's worth a shot when you're adjusting it!)
Seven bucks to get three cute rings...and they make a huge difference for me! I bent the head in a touch toward my finger so it sits closer and creates a bit more tension as the thread slips through. You can also adjust tension by wrapping the thread around other fingers or changing which finger you use the ring on.
I would totally get these again!
