I've wanted to learn violin all my life. I ordered this one because it was affordable and I wasn't sure how well I would fare as an adult learner.
After reading reviews, I ordered some peg dope and replacement pegs with but haven't needed to use them.
The violin came with everything I needed and instructions on how to turn the tuning pegs. It took me about 10 minutes to tune and after watching some YouTube videos rosin the bow.
The first A note was an absolutely beautiful sound. I'm just learning so there's some screeching and squeaking but I know that's me and I have been able to get some gorgeous rich tones out of it.
I'm very pleased with this purchase to see if I might someday want to invest in a quality instrument.

Got this for my daughter & myself to begin learning. It's beautiful and great to play. The resin is a bit lower, but for value it can't be beat and does come with all you need to start. The bow is also a great start, after a bit though, I'm sure updating it may be wise, but I can't complain and it's a wonderful starter. This Violin not only feels good, but looks great. Very happy.

Good quality for beginners. You must push the pegs in real hard to get them tight enough to keep it tuned. The painting of the butterfly is adorable (I'm 40 so any 10 year old would love it)! The bow is cheap but works well, just buy good Rosen. I also bought the sticker fingerboard that goes under the strings on the neck. I reccomend being very methodical when putting that on if you do not remove the strings or you will jumble it up badly. Enjoy!

The thing I will say is this violin is gorgeous. Needs some constant tuning in the beginning but that is to be expected with a brand new violin and needing to break it in. The only reason I had to give it only 4 stars because my bow was completely broke in half when it came. Instead of returning it I kept it and just used another one of my own bows. I have played the violin since the second grade. I have played for 15 years now. I love it. The violin is well made and truly beautiful. Amazing for the price. I of course was sad about the bow. But no worries as bows are fairly inexpensive. Otherwise the sound is amazing. I love the case too. Truly a great value for your money.
