I bought a new mower deck drive belt for my Craftsman LT-2000 Lawn Tractor a few months ago. I guess I hit something with the blade when I was mowing the lawn. The mower's engine kept trying to turn the blade. Unstoppable force. Immovable object. The belt was the weak link and it was quickly worn completely through. So, as usual, back to Amazon. As I was scrolling through the possible replacement options, I saw this one. Kevlar. That's the stuff that stops the bullets in bulletproof vests. That sounded like it was worth a try. Try burning through my drive belt now!
It arrived a few days ago. I put it on today. Not too hard. I have more difficult maintenance tasks around the house, so putting the drive belt on wasn't particularly easy and not particularly hard. About par for the course for repairs. After installing, I mowed the lawn, which had grown to around a foot tall with the down time on the tractor from the broken belt and recent rains fueling a growth spurt in the grass. So, my review, like many of my reviews, is based on not much experience with the product.
Actually, now that I think about it, Amazon presses me to write a review just around the time a product I ordered is delivered. I would recommend (are you listening, Amazon?) a request for a follow-up review about a year after a product is delivered, to determine if you are still satisfied with it. Do you still have it? Did you buy more? Did the product hold up? Did it meet expectations? Was it worth the price or was it a rip-off? Did you return it? Was the vendor accommodating? Do you still recommend it? Did you find other uses for it other than what it was sold for?
