I ordered this to do with my class for their Father's Day gift project. My students had a blast working with the clay and making color patterns. The clay is a little hard to work with at first but as they worked with it and warmed it with their hands it became more manageable. They all made bowls out of their hand shapes. Great for first graders and kept them busy for a hood hour! I would order again!
Perfect for grandkids

PROS: This is such a cute idea. My daughter made this for my husband (her dad) for his birthday. You get a good amount of clay. My daughter is 6 and we were able to do both hands and had a good amount left over. It is definitely worth the money and was shipped very quickly. It was easy to bake and didn't mess up the bowls.
CONS: Definitely needs a parent's assistance. The clay was EXTREMELY difficult to roll out. I ended up microwaving mine to soften it up some and it was still really hard. I also used a real knife as their cheap little plastic one would never cut through properly. Lastly, make sure there are no knife lines or anything in the clay before baking it. I thought it would melt a bit and the lines would come out but they do not. How it looks when you pop it in the oven is EXACTLY how it will look when it comes out.
In the end, I would still highly recommend this. Parents should be ready to do a lot of the work though.

Not easy to use, younger grandkids 3-5 year old kids struggled.

One of the easiest crafts we've ever done. Made 3 hand bowls (2 adult, 1 kid) then spent the next hour or so playing with the leftovers to make tiny sculptures. It was so much fun that we didn't want to stop or leave any dough behind. Will be buying another kit to make more sculptures. The oven part was super simple too - everything came out great!
