These were helpful to blow out my drip system for the winter, but these are just metal parts threaded together without any Teflon tape or sealer. They leaked air. After using I added some Teflon tape and they are now good to go.

These things are must have if you live ANYWHERE it freezes. Even in Georgia, it freezes and these connectors made flushing hoses, irrigation, and well water lines ahead of "hard freezes" (Below 31 F!) a snap. Just buy 'em. Oh - and yeah, you need the grommets and you have to tighten them before use to make them airtight. Duh!...
After sealing with teflon tape, they are perfect!

As other reviewers have said, these are loosely assembled and not sealed. They leak air. A little teflon tape on the threaded parts makes them perfect. The quality of the parts is very good, and I had no problem with sealing them, so 5 stars.
