This product is very well built and it worked for us.
This was only my second time at the slopes with 5 y.o. my daughter. The first time I was mostly hand holding her on my side. When I first told her we were going to use this on our second time, she was reluctant as she thought it would be step backwards. We talked more, showed her the video and agreed to just give it a try and decide together if we were going to use it further.
We tried it and the result was amazing! It gave her enough freedom and easily allowed me to keep her speed reasonable. Consider I am a very novice skier, I'm in my forties and have only been in the slopes like five times in my life.
We spent the whole day using it, during a break she made a point to tell how happy she was I had gotten it.
For me, it gave me the ability to enjoy the day skiing with good posture and help her build confidence.
I hope soon we won't need it anymore, for now, this makes me look forward to continue to go out to the mountain.

Clip that holds mesh bag broke. And now the mesh bag is lost somewhere on the mountain. Can i please get a replacement?

This is the best thing ever (paired with the edgie wedgie). We initially chose this particular one because of the ability to attach 2 straps rather than just one. After trying it out we have found it is much easier for the adult to try to handle one strap as opposed to 2, but you have that option with this harness so that has worked out fine. We also found that they still need to understand some basic skills like turning for this to be effective. Otherwise when you pull on it you just pull them over. If they can at least kind of do the motions with their own body you can help guide them and it works a lot better. After the first day with the harness with a four year old, we went back to basics on the tiny bunny hill for some turning skills and after that we only ever needed it for a little guidance. He has been 3 times and is ready to do without on all but the hardest green runs. I would say the best feature about this is the handle on the back and the thicker backpack style straps which are invaluable for helping a child get up out of the snow when everyone is wearing big bulky slippery gloves and jackets. Even if you can't reach the handle behind their neck, you can get ahold of one of the front straps and haul them up. We bought one of these each for our 7 year old and 4 year old. The 7 year old didn't end up needing it for the leash part, but we still put the vest part on since we have it, so we can help her more easily if she falls down and gets her feet tangled.

We took our three year old snowboarding for the first time and this harness made it so easy to help guide them down the slopes. After day one they were confident enough to go down without our help. Highly recommend.

A great harness for the early days of skiing. It was our toddler's first ski season this year and this harness was easy to use, comfortable, and durable. No unwanted hanging straps, and the handle is perfect for help getting on a chairlift.
