Great product, was just what I was looking for to keep my 18 month old son in the bunk bed in our camper. I took one star away because all the assembly directions were written in Chinese! The pictures were okay, but I struggled a bit to figure it out.

I wish I bought this product sooner but only got around to it after my little one fell off the bed when I left her after she fell asleep (she was sleeping lightly and I didn't want to risk waking her when I moved her to her crib).

Product is easy to use, and of good quality.

Cons:
I bought this product because it had this nifty feature of the top bar being unhooked and allowed to drape over the side. The picture made it seem as if I could sit in the side of the bed with neat feature. However, what it doesn't mention is that while the TOP bar is unhookable, the BOTTOM metal bar sits on the bed (so little one can't get trapped between edge of bed and the metal piece), so since this piece stays on, you still cannot sit on the edge of the bed without potentially bending this metal piece or having it be uncomfortable under you. Therefore, I never end up using this supposedly nifty feature.

The other major disadvantage is that this product makes louder than expected crinkling noises when I raise it, which wakes my little one. This sort of defeats the purpose of being able to leave my little one sleeping on her bed without worries of having her fall off, if she won't stay sleeping whenever I try to leave her bed. Little one wakes up and cries perhaps at least 50% of the time when I try to leave (unless she is deeply asleep) so it is useful the other 50% of the time. I wish the material of the product were made of quieter fabric instead of something more plasticky so it would be quieter when sliding up and down.

Also, you should look under your bed and measure your slat spacing before buying. Many beds have slats under it, which will not match the width of the metal attachment pieces on this product. We had to go buy additional wood from home depot and screw them across, under the bed to have slats in the right spacing to fit this product. Other similar products have the same issue.

I bought these to transition my toddler to his bed. He rolls around a lot in his sleep and I was worried he would fall out of his bed. I bought these thinking that all 3 came in one pack since that is what the picture shows, but that is not the case. You have to buy each one separately. They took some time to install, and we had to adjust it a bit to make sure it was really secure. He has been using them for a few months now, and they have stayed in really great shape.

We have a king size bed and this covers the entire bed. It is convenient because we can put the top bar down and I can easily get out of bed while my kids are sleeping. We dont have to worry about our kids falling from the side of the bed.
This one has adjustable height settings so it fits most beds. We have a 14inch mattress and this works well.
