Good but small

I buy things not realizing how small they are. This is very well made but doesn't hold much.
Some kinks here

I bought the crank handle one first and decided that needing two hands to operate wasn't ideal. The other issue is that if you go over the level where the opening is for the handle, whatever you are sifting comes through and makes a mess really. Ok, so that's not a review for this product so here it is. I then decided to purchase the Cook Army model. The one hand operation is great, although it could stand to be a little less tightly wound, if you will. It seems to take some real effort to sift whatever is in there. And this too, also allows some of the product to come out on the side and bottom of handle where the slide mechanism is located. I should have taken a pic of the top of my stove. It was a mess.
Great product

When the description said "3 cups", I pictured getting 3 cups of flour into it at the same time before sifting. However, I'm not sure that's possible. I had to do my 3 cups in batches. And the width of the opening is not wide enough to get my measuring cup down into it so the flour doesn't go all over.
I was hoping for a sifter like my mom's from years ago, but maybe they don't exist anymore. Hers was much wider and held a lot more. The mechanism on this sifter is exactly like my mom's, though, which is why I thought it would be just like hers. It's easy to squeeze and you can manage it with one hand.
I'm going to keep looking, but in the meantime this one is functional. Just not what I was hoping for.

It works well at sifting flour but it can cause injury to your fingers or hand.

It was effective and works relatively quick in sifting flour or sugars. However the first time I used it it pinched my index finger quite badly and caused it to bleed and swell. I experienced pain for a few days. So be careful and use more cautiously to avoid injury.
