It's important to wipe front to back for women, but if you can't bend to do it, these help. After back surgery, these were a lifesaver. I bought more after having a shift back.

I bought this prior to surgery on my dominant hand. I did use this a few times. It was very sturdy, but there isn't a good way to loop the tissue onto these tongs. I chose this product since they appeared sturdy compared to the other plastic styles available. It served it's purpose well, and I'm glad I had it the few times I needed a little more reach to clean myself.

With an upcoming surgery that would temporarily disable my "wiping" arm, I sought out an aide. Frankly, none of the options, particularly the plastic ones, were without limitations based on the reviews. I settled on this devise for two reasons. First, the metal thongs appeared to be more controllable with proper usage. Release of used tissue, a common concern in the reviews, is not a problem. Secondly, the angle seemed like a practical idea. I've been practicing with it and am quite satisfied. Pay attention to the instructions of how to load the paper, practice and be patient.
