This should be a standard option on all serious chainsaws.

You'll need to take a trip to the hardware store to get this installed unless you've got stuff laying around like me

Product as described. Packaged well and sent swiftly. I would recommend this seller. This product is SO much better than the OEM. This digs into logs 300% better than the original, creating less effort by the user. The only things negative are the bottom plastic spacer is impossible to attach with the tiny C-clip, so I leave it loose. You just have to be careful when you take the sprocket guard off, that it don't fall off. I also had issues with the lock nuts provided. They vibrated off. Replacements from the hardware store do not vibrate off.

I installed these felling dogs on my Stihl MS311. Initially, I wasn't sure if they were going to fit and they come with no instructions whatsoever. The metal plates seem thin and I'm not too sure about the quality of the steel. I had to ponder it for a while and figured out you must drill two holes through the side of the clutch cover. It you look you will see two half drilled holes on the inside already there you can use as a reference. The outer dog attaches to the outside of the clutch/sprocket cover On my particular saw I had to slightly notch the inner dog to make it clear the saw case. I believe somebody else here mentioned the same thing. One complaint I do have is the bolts they supplied are too short so you'll need to find some longer bolts for the outer dog. There is a spacer and snap ring that goes in between the dogs for added stability. I have not used these dogs yet on a job so I really don't know how well they are going to hold up in the long run. I hope this is helpful. Otherwise, the dogs look good on the saw but will they hold up?

The saw dogs are nice and big they hold onto the wood great.
