Being on a rigged wooden frame, the frame will survive longer if it is on a level surface.
Any twisting of the frame, will cause it to crack and come apart - sooner.
Leaving it outside will result in noticeable degradation and eventual failure - but, keeping the dirt outside is kinda the whole point.
It's not going to last forever.
But, for the first couple of years it will do fine.

The wood is attached with small staples a little bit of glue. All three top pieces came apart after a couple of weeks of use. This is not worth it at all!
