This is 100% cotton good quality watercolor paper. I was surprised at how much water it takes and how long it stays wet. Really enjoying this paper. It is a block. I bought the smaller size which works fine for most practice and projects that I need.

Trying to find some new manufacturers of 100% cotton watercolor paper. I've always loved Arches but it's getting unaffordable for me, so I've been looking around. First it has to be 100% cotton or else it tears with frisked, and pills with extra washes. This has been a wonderful alternative and much more affordable. I've only used this size so far but just received a larger block to try, next I'll see if they have a journal/ sketch book with the same outstanding paper. I would recommend this paper.

I wasn't prepared to like this paper as much as I do. Paint blends and lifts very well. Able to get smooth, consistent washes. Paper really adheres to block well. No issues with paper popping off the block with wet washes. Actually a little hard to remove paper from block. A removal tool comes with it. I think the key is going slow when working around the block to remove the sheet. Will reorder.
