Works well with only one minor installation complaint

Overall, I really like this quick release. It is sturdy and well made. Engaging and releasing the buckle is easily done, which is the main point.
The only quibble I have is that the description claims that this can be installed without removing the existing snap on the strap. I installed this on a TSG Pass Pro full face skateboard helmet. I was able to thread the strap though the retainer clip (used to hold down the excess strap) but could not thread it though the hole for tongue end of the buckle without removing the snap.
I also think that the strap that mounts to the double d-rings could stand to be maybe 1cm longer. I was able to install it securely, but it is so tight that it sits at a slight angle. However, it does not impair the functionality or safety.
Overall I think this is a great solution for adding a more convenient clasp to a double d-ring strap.

I purchase several other QD helmet connectors that did not work with my helmet because all it has on one side is a set of "D" rings. THIS ONE ACTUALLY WORKS ! The short strap with its snap allows this QD connector to attache firmly to the "D" rings. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !

The D ring on my Sierra II helmet was way too short and difficult to secure. Added this on and poof its better. As for the button the instructions say to remove it since it does not fit and I didn't want to remove it so I sanded it down about 1-2 millimeters and it fit through the connector.

Quality is good but after attaching to helmet straps there is no slack to tighten. Might as well just leave straps loose as this adds so much length to a full face helmet the buckle is left hanging loose enough to take off a nose in an accident. Might work for skull caps
