Perhaps hang heavy gear away from a hungry bear someday. Or strap down a flight threat, Marshals, with this one. It is an awesome belt. Very durable. Just the ruggedness I would need to keep gear together in a crisis or prevention of one. Love the material and the clicking buckle.

would prefer a bit thicker webbing but this works fine. The only negative is the size of the hardware. structurally it's fine but the male and female parts while they may be two inches wide these pieces are over a quarter inch thick making them nearly impossible to lace through a two-inch belt loop. for me, I am seldom in to dress so I remove the female end , lace the webbing through the pant loops, replace the female part and I"m good

Treat the belt like crud putting things on it that are heavy sharp and oddly shaped. Holds up great. No fraying or bunching on the belt line. The little elastic retainer for the excess belt lasted about a week.
