I went on a spree to find a reasonably priced curling iron for my hair and this was the winner!
My Hair: Medium-long, fine but full, almost pin straight but not quite. Holds a curl well using a flat iron but not much luck with a curling iron.
1.25" made great waves, loose curls on my past shoulder length hair. They also held all day with hair spray.
Pros:
It's really the attention to detail here that wins me over after the fact it actually curls my hair and it lasts.
-The temperature light flashes until it's fully hot. No more guessing if it's ready!
-The holder to keep the iron off the table/surface is covered in rubber so you can easily move it while the iron is hot. Comapred to the Hot Tools brand where the holder was all metal and therefore very hot to move - I really loved this detail.
-Great range of heat temps
-Barrel is on the longer side but not noticably longer than the Hot Tools irons I've tried.
Cons:
-The clamp on mine is a bit loose. I have to use a larger section of hair to have the clamp actually hold it in place. But I do kinda like this as it makes it easier to slide the hair in the iron as needed. Also doesn't leave as much of a clamp mark like others can. But if you have very thin hair this may not be helpful!

Finish flaked off

After only using for 1 month the finish started flaking off. It was never used on the hottest setting.😧

This lightweight curling iron curls my hair really well. The curls last. It's easy to you and slides through my hair fairly well. I use a low setting and the temperature control seems to be accurate. I am a hair stylist and have used dozens of curling irons and so far this one works really well. The price is very good considering the quality. My only complaint would be that I wish it slid through the hair a little easier. As always use a heat protectant when applying heated hair tools to your hair. I have recommended this product to several people now as an affordable curling iron that curls well.
