Do not update the software !!!

UPDATE: I sent an email (the one in the documentation) and they replied within 24h. They sent me new drivers/firmware to replace the one in the frame. It works now.
OLD REVIEW: The frame asked me if I wanted to update the software "¦ and after I did, I got the error message "Unfortunately, Vphoto has stopped" apparently many of us got the same error message after doing the update. If it works, don't update.

I bought this as a Christmas gift in order to share photos of grandchildren with some older relatives without requiring them to use the phone or mess around with USB sticks and the like.
The web service that handles the uploads to this device can be slow at times, but it usually connects within a few hours and download any new photos sent to the custom email address for the device. It also makes a nice "chime" sound when new photos are available which is a handy way of notifying the grandparents that something new is available.
I do worry that if the provider shuts down the service that it will lose its coolest feature. It would be nice if the API was open sourced to provide an alternative way to push/pull photos.

Once I was able to get pictures on it using the non-proffered method, it was excellent. Unfortunately, the app was pretty useless on IOS and the directions were awful.
