My 10 year-old son received this kit for his birthday and he really loves it! He has made a lot of cool figures that quickly harden when cooked in the oven. It does take a bit of warming and manipulating the clay to get it soft enough to work with, but he's gotten the hang of it after a few attempts. I think any child who loves clay / art activities would have a great time with this kit and highly recommend it due to the wide variety of clay colors!

I loved how many tools and clay colors were in the box, however, the clay was hard and took up most of the time to work it into softness. The clay was also brittle if not cooked at the right timing. Great for beginners though!

I've always bought clay at hobby lobby, and it's super expensive. I recently moved and didn't take it with me, so this is my first time buying from anywhere else, and I'm so happy!! The clay is a little stickier than what I'm used to, and I got a few bubbles when I baked (my oven runs hot, I cooled it down a bit and the rest came out perfectly), but for the price it's wonderful!! As long as you reinforce bigger projects inside with tin foil and toothpicks (like Donnie in my first picture), you'll be just fine.
There are so many colors and tools, and it came in a cute little box that fit everything perfectly.
There are also accessories, which are super cute. There are ring pieces, earring adaptors, tiny hoops for ornaments, beads, and my favorite is the super cute little golden bells!! They actually ring pretty well even when attached to something, which I'm very happy with.
Theres also a little reference/tutorial book, which gave me the idea for the holly on Santa's hat! Again, super cute, would recommend to any beginner or intermediate sculptor :)

Overall- I'm very happy with this product and will definitely order again when I run out. What I think the best way to use this is, is to get a cheap chunk of just white clay and make the general shape, then cover over it and detail with this.
