This adapter that changes a L5-30 plug into a L14-30 receptacle IS NOT BRIDGED. This may or may not be best for your situation.
If you have any 240 volt circuits or devices requiring 240 volts downstream of this adapter, then you will lose function of those devices and circuits. In some cases (like mine) that is exactly the wiring outcome desired since BRIDGED X Y adapters can create an undesirable situation or complication by introducing the same 120 volt leg to both sides of a 240 volt circuit.
If you don't know what I am talking about, then you probably shouldn't be buying 30 amp adapters. Just do your research or post a question so you don't post a negative review on a good product later.

The L5-30P to L14-30R adapter I got has the X and Y tied together. Which is what I would think most people would want so that both halves of their CB panel are fed 120v power.
Mine was molded with a blue tinted clear plastic that allows one to clearly see how it is internally wired.

This allows me to use 240-volt generator cables that are cheaper than the 120-volt ones (for some reason). It works fine. But it's made of clear plastic instead of black like the pictures show. No biggie - just letting you know in case you are OCD about everything matching and needed black.
