I don't have any babies or toddlers around anymore, but we still like to play with musical instruments, and this is a nice set that anyone can enjoy. It's all plain, sturdy wood and metal, small but not baby-small, and everything sounds great. The xylophone, especially, sounds perfect. So don't be put off by all the reviews that say this set is great for very small children - it's great for kids of all ages. Go on, make a little noise - you know you want to!

Seems a bit cheaply made. The symbols don't really make too much of a big noise and are very small. The tangerine is ok but small and light, the shakers with bells are the best I'd say. The xylophone is nice and well made!

For the price of this set, I have been impressed with how it has held up! The wood and metal are good quality, and my toddler has loved playing them. I love that they are all smaller versions of instruments that exist in bands/orchestras, and that they're easy for my child to use. The bag that they come in isn't the cutest thing ever, but I have since gotten rid of that and put the instruments in their own little bin so that they're easily accessible for my toddler! Overall a great birthday or Christmas gift.
