I would say that this is an affordable option to lessen your hair and even get rid of it. I have used it for about a month consistently- 2-3 times a week and I can say that it did make my hair thinner and grow less. It did also possible stop some hair growth.
I like that it is light and easy to use and I also think it works quickly as in the flashes that are automatic.
I used an expensive $500 machine IPL in the past and that did reduce my hair about 75% but then stopped working so I am looking for another option that is smaller, lighter and more affordable. So far this meets those requirements.

I bought this laser hair removal about a month ago and wanted to give it a trial run before I wrote a review. There are several different levels depending on how coarse the hair is. I use a level 1 to 2 on my face and the highest level for my legs. I use it twice a week on my legs after the days I shave. After use I put on heavy lotion with no perfume. Last week (would be the 4th week of use) I didn't have time to use it and let the hair grow. Well, there was very little growth, I had large patches, and the rest of the hair barley grew. The only downside is finding the time to continuously use this product until you have your desired results. The upside it works and will save you thousands of dollars from a laser salon.

I have to admit I was surprisingly pleased with how painless and easy to use this IPL is. I am new to using any kind of laser for hair removal and I have super sensitive skin, so I was super nervous that this would hurt.. However it is completely painless.. No zap or tingle even.. after using it for a bit the top does get warm.. But not too hot, comfortable to the touch. I have blonde brown hair, & used this on legs around bikini area, simple to hold against skin, It only flashes a very bright ultraviolet laser light, which they also provide dark glasses to wear during use. So far so good. The reason for minus a star.. Is results have yet to be seen..I did however notice thinner hair patches, since this is for long term use.. It states that in 7-8 weeks full results of hair loss will be seen. So I need to wait and see. I have liked using it so far.
