This leash is a great length for where I mounted it. It worked great all season and was never really in the way. I liked the extra security to not have to worry about losing the paddle if it went over, especially when hunting from my kayak. The only issue I had was trying to get out of the kayak but still using the paddle for support was difficult with the leash and my legs.
