Works good for the money.

I didn't rate the battery life because I haven't had it long enough to put that to the test. After doing the initial charge on the battery, I used it to drill through metal with one of the designated metal bits. I then used it with a screwdriver bit to secure the item that I was mounting to the metal. Worked great! I have some other projects involving wood coming up. I'll update this review if anything changes.

FYI, this particular model did not come with a carry bag, but everything fits nicely back into the box. Works for me!

It does everything I need it to do. Plus it came it with drill bits and everything I needed to finish the job.

Several months ago, when needing a new drill for some home projects in the yard......building with treated 2' x 4's, I decided to "take a chance" on this very inexpensive drill....since, at that moment, I did not want to spend the time it usually takes for me to talk to friends about "best brand for my purchase etc. , and carefully check reviews and then still have to worry (quality sometimes being what it is today),...... "Did I do the right thing with my final purchase decision?" So, I expected to be disappointed. BUT, I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. OF course being 80 years, one might expect that the lightweight would appeal to me.....and it did appeal to me. It would have appealed to me at any age, the drill is so lightweight, so handy yes, I'm sure it would be perfect for the ladies (it being lightweight and small in the hand), but also perfect for all the guys. There is nothing wrong that I can criticize with this drill. In fact, for all the guys who prefer or need a heavier drill, this would be a great back up drill in your tool kit when you are out on a job and your great big "bad" drill stops working. I've had $100 drills from the big box stores that "never worked quite right". Just read the directions that come with this WORKSITE (brand) drill. Most projects at home are not so labor intensive as to overheat it. I like to use the newer type screws that are self drilling. With this drill, I mostly screwed together 2x4s that had already been ripped in half and I used them to make an overhead arbor for my wife's butterfly garden and also using same type screws into same type lumber, I designed and made some "Japanese" type screens for the garden. Screwed the lumber framework together and then screwed thru multiple grommets to attach screens to the frames. The point of this description is to say that each day working on these yard projects, I would quit for the day before the drill ever ran out of power. I read criticisms of this drill online and none of them were true, at least for the drill that I got. This drill was easier to use than any drill ever owned by me. So easy. And easy to change direction "in" and "out" for the screws....using the reverse button on the drill body....so handy one finger could toggle back and forth without using two hands (like some heavier drills). And the little hex head drill bits fit so tightly into the drill chuck and they stay tight. And sometimes I used the drill intermittently for several hours.....used it again same way next day, without overnight charging and never ran out of juice....and Oh, yeah, the charging is incredibly fast. And the 20 volt charger is so small ...makes me wonder why so many other drills have such relatively large and heavy chargers......(maybe other drills have more "umph" with their larger chargers, but this had all the umph needed for my house projects. I will caution the only thing was when I tried a self drilling thick screw.....a screw rated equal to a 3/8" lag screw. For the handy guys reading this (and some of today's lady builders), a screw with that kind of torque is for heavy building (like screwing heavy beams together) That's NOT this drill, what this drill is.....is perhaps perfect for 90% of what most of us do around the house and yard. The drill is not meant to "run" non-stop on a production assembly line. I should qualify my background for you and say that before retirement, I had occasion to use a drills in my trade on the job. For most tradesman today, they would want a heavier drill on their work truck. But even for many tradesman, this drill would suffice for 90% of projects. Just did not want you think that this drill can build an entire house.......but it might just keep most of the house together once it's built. The money spent on this drill seems to be among my best purchases ever! But then, what does an "old man" know today (if not how to spend money wisely)? Just Go for It!
