Used above tv unit. Nice to be able to have a long shelf and then two shelves that equal the long shelf but can be arranged at different heights if you want a more spaced out shelf look. Be aware that items that you want to fit on shelf can only be 2-1/4" wide to sit inside of the framework. Perfect width for standing picture frames in and small plants. All materials needed were included in package including a small level. People have been pleasantly surprised to find out the shelves were really not true wood. Happy with results.
