The Boomerang Rang III came suggested by a friend and I'm so glad I bought one. The functionality is versatile, it is built sturdily, and is relatively easy to use once you get the hang of it. I play solo acoustic gigs multiple times a week, and my Rang III is such an important part of my sound. The playback from the loop sounds identical to the guitar. I absolutely love it! Lastly, the company gets it. They offer incredible customer service and understand the life of a working musician!

I've owned the Boss rc30 and the single pedal version. Plus, the small ditto. Those are great, but limited. Here's why the "˜rang III, (Boomerang) is better.
You can choose sync mode or free mode. Sync works with a master track that you create and the build the other loops around that. However, in free mode, you can freely switch between up to 3 additional looped parts that you created. Totally different settings if you start left to right or the opposite way. Versatile.
I like the feature in free mode where you can set the next part, that you haven't recorded yet, to auto start Recording once the current sample is finished. Then you can switch between then the whole rest of your performance.
Super easy to work with. I've only heard about 30% of the features. It's 500 milliamperes and woks woth the nicer pedal power supplies. I use the One Spot Pro. Works perfectly. They major it compatible with many expression pedals too to fade out and in gracefully. Just so much upside.

Great tool for practice and performing. I've synced it with a BeatBuddy pedal and it works AWESOME. So much fun and inspiration. I'm taking it live this summer! WARNING: read the manual before first time use. It takes up to 15 seconds to come on when first plugged in (every time!). I thought it was broken until I read the book!!

I like it a lot. I have a TC Electronics Ditto plus where you can save loops. It just makes it easier sometimes when I don't want to record (use HDL space). So I create the loops on the Boomerang then if I really like it I save it to the Ditto +
