Good rivets but you need to be a little careful.

The rivets worked great on the wooden flooring I put in an aluminum drift boat. I didn't have the severe issues with rivets breaking that some people reported however I did break 2 out of 40. I think that both were probably my fault. If you don't hold the gun firmly and at the correct angle or you move it while compressing the handle you will probably have difficulties. The pins in the rivets seem to be slightly more brittle than anything I've used in the past but not so much that it alone will create problems as long as your rivet gun is used properly.

These are the ever popular blind 'pop' style rivets, but in larger sizes. They are general use aluminum rivets, which I used to fix a crack in the splash guard of my daughter's car. It was cracking, no longer available, and salvage yards had only cracked ones, as well. I took some heavy sheet metal, straddled the crack with it, and used several rivets on both sides of the crack to secure. The plastic was quite thick, so I needed longer than standard ones, which this kit has. The heads seem larger than standard as well, so I put the head side to the plastic, and the 'rivet' side to the metal. So far, so good.
