This thing works like a charm. Not too thick to make it hard to stand firm. I haven't compared it with other products, but this is good enough.

Fit perfectly

At 12 feet by 6 feet, the size of this mat is great, allowing lots of freedom to move around without moving off of the mat. My primary use for this is VR games and this provides a nice, large area to move around on without moving off of the mat or possibly tripping over the mat edge. Having such a large area is especially nice for VR. When standing for hours at a time, this is very useful for reducing leg/back fatigue and pain. Moving around very quickly on it (e.g. for cardio exercise and that sort of thing) isn't a problem at all and, again, it helps to absorb the impact, making the exercise much easier on your back and joints.

The large size of this mat also helps to keep the mat from moving around much. It does move around a little, at least on the carpet surface I have it on, but only slightly even after long periods of making lots of quick movements on it. The friction of such a large surface area in contact with the floor keeps it in place much better than most smaller mats.

I've also used this with my spin bike on it and it works great for that, as well, preventing damage to the floor. After having the bike sitting on it and using the bike, there are indentions in the mat from the feet of the bike, but those go away on their own within a day with the mat looking like new. Certainly no ripping or anything like that.

The one thing I have noticed that does unfortunately seem to put permanent marks on the mat is a vacuum cleaner with a roller brush. It doesn't seem to functionally damage the mat, but it did leave some visible marks on it which haven't gone away over time, so be careful with that if you use a vacuum cleaner on this. I'd recommend not using a roller brush vacuum, especially since the brush isn't really needed on the flat surface of the mat, anyway.

This does come with straps you can use to roll it up for storage.
