The megladon track is very fun and engaging but we too have had issues with the lock mechanism. It was difficult to pull back initially but my six year old could handle it. Within one day it was completely jammed. I did remove the locking mechanism and two springs and then it worked again, but it is not the sturdiest toy so I don't expect it to last very long. Overall I do feel it was worth the price though as I didn't pay much for it. My kiddos are loving it for now and the megladon mini and grave digger minis were very exciting for my boys!

This compact toy was a hit on our cruise. My 4 year old boys played with this mini monster truck racer when we had down time in our room or while they were waiting for grownups to get ready for the next adventure. We do have several mini trucks and I recommend having more than just the 2 that comes with it. The cool thing about this track is that actual hot wheel cars can also race with ease on it.

The media could not be loaded. 4 year old enjoys it as they love the "Mini" trucks. But, it had a major problem getting stuck. There is a piece inside you can remove that's actually not needed and then it works as it should. I've posted video showing the difference and what causes it to get stuck.
