I have had this tool only for a day but I already put it in good use by finding the openings and sealing them. I'm far from done but the tool is a great investment and I'm going to use it for every insulation related job I'll have at my house. The coldest temp was 6 degree warmer after I used this tool to find where the cold air was leaking from and sealed it and I'll keep doing it until I can't find any more openings lol

I had the FLIR One Pro for my iphone for a few days, was not a fan. Low resolution and terrible battery life. I found this guy and decided to give it a try and I am blown away with how good it is.
Obviously the two devices I have used are very different, one attaches to a phone and the second doesn't, but the second is half the cost of the FLIR and easier to use. Its a thermal camera, it's easy to understand how to use. The cost was the key factor for me, this isn't new tech by any means so it's time for that to come down.

Incredible value! Nice build, and nice software. Lots of options to suit to your liking. Screen and resolution is great, the refresh rate is perfect. HOWEVER, be aware that you need to keep the device POWERED ON in order to charge the internal CMOS battery responsible for keeping track of time and date. I thought mine was defective until I contacted support. Literally my only complaint.

I took my time reviewing different thermal guns both on Amazon and YouTube and this seems to fit the bill. The battery lasts a long time before needing a recharge, comes with an sd card and the resolution is great. This seems to out perform other thermal guns in a similar price range. I like being able to snap still photos and the auto shut off feature is convenient. Overall I'm very happy with this product.
