I had a real problem where my 8 string electric guitar was unplayable due to a bridge rear Stud screw that pulled out from the heavy stress of the Strings. First idea I had was to use a door hinge, but there not solid brass, plus the screw holes wouldn't work out. Then it hit me to use a solid brass bar, since guitar tremolos use a brass sustain block for upgraded harmonic overtones. Didn't take long to find the right size that I needed and it was delivered fast. Pictures are not in order, but they show the fix.
