I bought it to be able to charge my pencil with it on but i was very incorrect. It was also so hard to put my pencil in and its so hard to take out.

My son and I both use an Apple Pencil, and I wanted something to help distinguish them apart easily. I saw this sleeve on a YouTube video, and thought this was a cost effective, easy way to add some customization to one of our pencils. The sleeve is super easy to install. You get two pieces, the eraser cap and the yellow sleeve portion. It is super easy to take on and off. I will say my only issue is that sometimes I notice the sleeve sliding off the pencil slightly. It's never in trouble of coming off completely, but does start covering the tip a bit. Easily remedied, but something I thought I'd mention.

The other thing is that it is able to still magnetically stick to the iPad and charge. I use my Magic Keyboard primarily and have no problems docking and charging up the pencil when I use this case. Unfortunately, if I use my other case (Logitech Combo Touch) then I have problems getting it to charge. It still magnetically connects, but I am guessing the case gets in the way of aligning with the charger. This was a bit of a bummer since I normally use the Combo Touch case when I use the Pencil. You can get it to charge with the case you just need to wiggle it around until you find the sweet spot. Last thing here, is the sleeve does make the magnets noticeably weaker so I have noticed that the Pencil pop off a little easier. Not a huge change, but noticeable.

I love the way it looks, and now my son wants one too, luckily they come in different colors. The sleeve adds a little thickness to the pencil so this might make it easier for some to hold on to. The flat edges also make it feel more like an actual pencil so that might also help with comfort when using your Pencil. Honestly, for the cost it's a great deal. Just be aware that it does add some thickness to the Pencil so be careful if you have a tight fitting case on your iPad.

It s a great case... I like the ridges... I like the thickness it brings to the pen . It just takes a tiny bit of time to get use to ... Warning read the instructions before sliding your pen in it... There is a good way to put the pen in, if you don't it won't charge.

I had to return to due it not allowing my pen to charge. I was happy with everything else about the cover. Only wished it would charge while on. I didn't want to go through the hassle of removing it every time to charge.

I am very satisfied with the feel of this cover which is mainly why I bought this product because my last cover for the pencil truly abstructed me from being able to easily tap the pencil. This though no problems and it is so thick which is exactly what I needed.
Now the con of this case is that because it is so thick it truly does affect the charging. Like don't get me wrong it charges but soooooo much slower than it usually charges and the pencil charges fairly quickly as we know.
So because I like it so much and the pencil at least for me keeps its charge for so long I have just opted to when I need to charge to take the case off. Which sucks but I'm assuming I'll just get used to it cause the feel on this case is exactly what I want and because of that sacrifices need to be made.
And hey maybe I'll get used to a slow charge and decide to just keep the case on.

TL;DR:
Great feel of the case. Sturdy and overall a very good look. The cutout is perfect and doesn't affect you tapping the pencil at all. Does still attach to the iPad just not as strongly and the charge is wayyyy slower.
Up to you to decide if it's worth it and for me it is.
