It has passed 2 months and device is working perfectly. There are no defects, delays or issues during the flight; we bought full kit with additional batteries and propellers for change, but still - no replacements for additional parts have been required. I would suggest considering 4 batteries in total in order your flight will be supplied. As for manufacturer and model - that was the best choice for a new pilot to gain experience in drone control: it's very light, easy to use, full of pleasant perks like if you loose control or battery dying - device will return on home point by itself - that made the most amazing thing for new learners if you feel what I am talking about, very manipulative and always gives you tips how to gain the best experience right during the flight. Low noise level and super speed - all in one, super happy with the purchase!
DJI is the best prosumer drone. Period.

This purchase completes my DJI family. The Mavic Air 2s was the only model that I didn't have. I spent months agonizing whether I should buy it. But, a few advantages to the newest 2s FMC (fly more combo) finally tipped the scale.
With the improvements to the OAS, autonomous flight programs and enhanced image quality, I just could not say 'no' to the Air 2s. And, who buys just the drone basic package, just to struggle with getting the additional accessories one by one later on? I'd rather just get what I need now and get it over with, as the FMC. Then, pick up the few accessories that I know I will need to round out the set.
The Air 2s is on par with the rest of the DJI aircraft for performance and reliability. It's very easy to fly. It interfaces with your smart phone very smoothly. The controls are straightforward and simple to understand and operate. It's larger than the Mini, smaller than the M2P and right in the middle, price wise.
The complications of adhering to FAA regulations and licensing have been simplified with built in and available software. The most basic things to remember right now are that, as a recreational flyer, you need to register with the FAA and display your registration number on all of your aircraft. BTW, as a recreational flyer, you only need to register once, as a pilot, and YOUR number is what's displayed on the drone. Each aircraft does NOT need to be registered. That is with the pilots that want to fly for profit.
Because the Air 2s is heavier that 250g, your number has to be applied to this drone, in an obvious place on the exterior of the drone. I recommend using a label maker to do the FAA number and your cell phone number.
The Air 2s is a great aircraft and like all of my DJI aircraft, it gets 5 stars.

Too bad a rank beginning drone operator can't buy a cheap, used version that could be used for practice and occasionally crash into something before the operator becomes competent enough to fly it in a variety of situations, and only then buy a new, quality drone like this one. But after those minor wrecks occurring a few times (school of hard knocks, be prepared to buy spare propellers) and viewing dozens of tutorials and practicing nearly daily, I am trained enough to use most of its features fairly competently. The videography you can create from it is great and the addition of ND filters is essential if you want to avoid overexposure and do hyperlapses (plan on buying higher density ND filters if you want to create bright daytime hyperlapses, such as ND 256). It would be nicer if it and the DJI Fly application allowed for 4K 60 FPS frame rates for quick shots, master shots and active tracking, but what it does at lower resolutions and frame rates with those preprogrammed features is still very good. Even with the 3-pack of batteries with the Fly More option, battery life is very restrictive and careful planning is needed to do complex flyovers without having to prematurely end the shooting sequence.

I bought the Air 2 S thinking I would receive just a average drone. No........ this thing packs a punch with technology. This seriously is a very nice drone to fly. Only down side is that it doesn't have side obstacle avoiding sensors. But I bought the drone knowing this. And I am careful when flying side ways.
No to Amazon's promise of quality. I bought a drone that was opened and then sent back by the customer because it had a mark on it. Amazon was honest about this and I bought the drone. One can believe Amazon when they review a product. They inspect it properly and they give you a honest report on what you are about to buy.
Excellent product, excellent service.
