This has been great. The hang up would be it punches about half of what it says it does at a time - which I guess isn't terrible, as it seems is a common problem amongst paper punches. I thought it was a good value for price. The electric spiral feature is more handy than I expected.

As a home school mom with 5 children, I spend a lot of time putting in together curriculum, lesson plans, etc.
Having to take items in to be bound gets SUPER expensive.
Since purchasing this binding machine, I have saved over $500 already.
It's sturdy, punches correctly, and it's easy to adjust.
The only recommendation I would have is that it have a latching mechanism to hold the handle down for easier storage.
I have to pull the handle down and hold it there while placing it in our cubby shelf.

Unit arrived quickly and was well packaged. Items received were like the picture description. Unit has a good sturdy feel to it and is easy to set up and use right out of the box. The pull out hole punch tray located on backside does a great job at collecting the holes that are punched out. There's an easily accessible fuse located on the back side to help protect the unit from a power overload. I like that we can manually configure the hole punch pattern easily as needed, as well as setting up the margin for the holes. The coil inserter works great and has its own "on/off" switch. A word of caution to be aware of your surroundings. Long hair, dangling bracelets or sleeves could possibly be caught up in this if not careful. The coil crimper pliers that came with this package are made of metal and works, but it seems to be better suited for the larger 18mm plastic coils. We purchased another coil cutting and crimping pliers for plastic coils and this seems to be better suited for the 5/16' coils that came with this package deal. Recommend doing a test punch sheet to make sure all settings are correct before sending final product through.
