You might mistakenly think that this is a swinging tool or a chopping tool. It isn't. In fact if you try to use it that way you will have no joy. It is a pulling tool . You reach the blade into high weeds let it lower toward the ground and then pull it back toward yourself. It cleanly slices the weeds in mass. Then keep repeating this action. You will cut down a lot of weeds of all types quickly and easily. Great for clearing an area including vines and other stringy weeds as well as bushy weeds and grasses. It is not a wacker or swing blade, it's a slicer. And surprisingly useful and requiring minimal physical effort.

It does tend to get loose while whacking the weeds, because the screw down tightener on the extension handle keeps loosening and you have to keep tightening it.
